Hello, My name is Courtney Coleman. I am a Multi-hyphenate Fashion Journalist and Photographer.

I am someone who can do it all.

About Me

I grew up a military kid with her father being in the Army for 28 years. I always had an interest in the arts, winning the Annual Planner/Agenda Drawing Contest at Robert G. Cole High School in 2015. Also continued to stride for greatness, winning 2nd place in the Green Space Alliance of South Texas Photography Contest in 2017. In my collegiate arts, I had 4 entries published in Angelo State University’s Art and Literature Magazine,“The Oasis” in 2019 ( seen on the opening page of blog ).

I always knew I would dedicate my life in the arts and in fashion, but I wanted to explore multiple avenues while doing so. thats when I discovered the career styling of being a multi-hyphenate. The concrete concept of being a multi-hyphenate fashion journalist is a person having multiple jobs or side hustles while having their main job of being a journalist as a constant stream of income. The tasks may consist of interviewing a brand, going to hosting parties, finishing articles, attending press events, attending showings, and more. And side jobs many may consider is creating content, blogging, all-around influencer, writer, photographers, and so much more. This is a career style that's not for everyone because it causes the person to have to “stretch their time”, as in being on top of things. It’s as if there was a mix of a journalist and entrepreneur together, becoming the investor and the invested if wanting to make moves in this career.

Since I was 11, I'd always watched red carpets and runways shows dreaming of getting a chance to sit front row at any of them. I want to get a behind the scenes look at the designers works, learn the in's and out's of their minds-cape, and really get to know the fashion industry. I want to have a little black "Carrie Bradshaw" mixed with a Elaine Welteroth life.
